What our customers say

  •   We not only had the most delicious meal at Visconti but the entire experience was the best dinner during our trip to Italy. Leonardo is the amazing chef and his wife Jaynie serves the food. But those titles don’t do them justice because they treat...More

So great. So generous. I suppose it wasn't cheap, but it was such great value. I cannot recommend it highly enough. From Jaynie's careful preparation through to Leonardo's clear passion for his ingredients it truly was an experience. My only complaint is that they were...More

For anyone who wants to learn how to cook authentic Italian cuisine from an expert chef in a small hilltop town in Abruzzo, we whole-heartedly recommend a week at Viscanti Kitchen. The itinerary for each day was a perfect balance between time in the kitchen...and extra curricular activities. There were many highlights, including: cooking techniques and ingredients for making tasty Italian cuisine along with 37 secret tips for success, visits to the cheese factory and medieval towns, wine and olive oil tastings, truffle hunting, seeing gardens and learning about the source of each ingredient and how it is used to make a special dish. This itinerary was perfect. But an even more important component was the warmth and hospitality provided by Jaynie and Leonardo. That extended from the love that they bestowed on generating any dish to the interactions they had with local farmers, vinters, and artisans. This was a unique trip for us and we give it our highest possible rating. More

  •   My sister and I had a wonderful day learning who to cook Italian style, using home grown organic vegetables and local fare. Leonardo, Janey and Luigi are the perfect hosts, informative, friendly and often amusing, and they put their hearts into every thing they do....I would highly recommend, and would definitely book again, perhaps for a special gift for someone dear.       Sunday lunch today was amazing at Visconti's! As always made very welcome by Leonardo and Jaynie. Beautiful selection of appetisers, truffle pasta, basil infused pasta and the most amazing platter of chicken, lamb and roasted potatoes, followed of course by a delightful selection of desserts,...More

This was an amazing cooking class - one of the highlights of my trip to Italy. This was more than a very hands-on cooking class, but an experience that included visiting the garden where most of the ingredients are sourced and a visit to the...beautiful waterfall that irrigates the garden. Chef Leonardo and his wife Janey are wonderful hosts who really care about having an authentic experience and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We prepared 3 different pastas, including one with wild boar that Chef Leonardo hunted, a delicious lemon tiramisu and chicken with saffron from their garden. Chef Leonardo was patient and also focused on making sure I used the right techniques in preparing pasta - I definitely feel ready to prepare these dishes when I’m home. My only regret is that I did not have time for their multi-day classes but I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend this incredibly special and delicious experience. More
