We can hardly believe that seven months has past since we launched our Visconti Cooking Experience. With the Holidays upon us we thought this would be a good opportunity to send you our first newsletter along with a recipe and our very best wishes for Christmas and the New Year.
A lot has happened since our launch – we held our pilot cooking experience in July with a group of passionate, enthusiastic and above all fun cooking guests. You can view Paul’s beautiful video of their experience on our Visconti Cooking Facebook page, as well as some great reviews on trip advisor. And thanks to Leonardo’s persistent and tireless commitment to organic farming we have a bounty of amazing produce and new preserves this year which I’ll let him tell you about in his message.
At the urging of many of you we have decided to add a one-day taste of Abruzzo Cooking Experience for those travelling in Abruzzo – the day will start with a tour of our organic gardens to harvest ingredients for the day’s cooking, include a fun hands-on cooking experience inspired by the seasons with Chef Leonardo under the stunning frescoed ceiling at Visconti Kitchen – this is a one-day experience of foraging, learning, cooking, eating and drinking!
Finally, I’d like to say how proud I am of my husband who continues to create incredibly delicious dishes with a commitment to healthy eating and drinking – Leonardo’s made a fabulous organic Montepulciano wine this year with grapes harvested from Cingilia Vineyards – just ask our friends who have been invited into the Visconti Cantina!
